Looking for a way to explore Finnish Lapland with kids that’s more than just sightseeing? Tindra’s Quest is a self-guided scavenger hunt in Äkäslompolo, designed especially for families who want to mix play, discovery, and local culture.

With the help of Tindra the elf and her husky pup Nupi, children follow simple riddles and clues across the village of Äkäslompolo. Along the way, they spot landmarks, uncover hidden corners, and learn fun snippets about Lapland life. Each clue feels like a small victory, building excitement until the final surprise.

Because the quest is self-guided, your family can move at your own pace. Some finish the adventure in 60 minutes, others take 90 minutes, pausing for snowball fights or photos. The trail is short, safe, and perfect for curious explorers aged 5–10 (younger ones can join with a little help).

The format ends at a cozy local shop where children receive a small treasure (sticker) and a certificate (PDF download). Everyone gets a certificate download at the end, but you can also choose the Personalized Explorer Certificate (+4 €) and let Tindra write your child’s name by elf-magic and send it by email after your purchase.
