Refund & Returns Policy for Tindra’s Quest

At Tindra’s Quest, we pour a little magic and a lot of love into every snowflake of our scavenger hunt. Because our product is a digital download, there’s no parcel to send back — but we still want you to feel happy with your purchase.

Below you’ll find how refunds work for our digital products and what to do if something goes wrong.

What you’re buying

When you purchase Tindra’s Quest, you receive a digital download (PDF) that includes:

  • the introduction letter from Tindra
  • the illustrated map
  • the first clue to start your adventure
  • (and for parents) a separate guide PDF

As soon as your payment is complete, the files are available for instant download.

No automatic right of return

Under EU consumer law, digital products that are delivered instantly are not eligible for cancellation or return once the download has started — provided that you agreed to this before checkout. At checkout, you’ll see a box confirming:

“I understand that by purchasing this digital product, I lose my right to withdraw once the download begins.”

That small checkbox keeps everything transparent and legally sound.

But we believe in fairness

If you experience technical problems (for example, you didn’t receive the download link, the file doesn’t open, or there’s an error with your order), please contact us right away — we’ll make sure you get what you paid for. We’re here to help and will always aim to make things right.

When a refund is possible

We may issue a refund in the following cases:

  • You were charged twice by mistake.
  • You purchased but never received access to the files.
  • The files were corrupted and we cannot fix them for you.

Refunds are made to your original payment method within 7 working days once approved.

If your travel plans change

We understand — sometimes snowstorms, flight cancellations, or unexpected events mean your Lapland adventure has to wait.

If your family can no longer travel to Äkäslompolo and you won’t be able to take part in Tindra’s Quest, please let us know.
We’re happy to offer a full refund if:

  • you contact us within 14 days of purchase, and
  • you haven’t used the scavenger hunt yet (i.e. haven’t started scanning any QR codes in Äkäslompolo).

Why we handle it this way

Tindra’s Quest is a partly digital, partly location-based experience.
The files you receive (map, letter, and first clue) are only the beginning — the real adventure unfolds through QR codes placed around the village.

That’s why we want to stay fair:
If you can’t make it to Lapland, we’ll gladly refund you.
But once the quest begins (once a QR code is scanned), refunds are no longer possible.

Processing time

Because we’re a small Lapland business (run by humans and one mischievous elf), please allow up to 5 business days for us to review and respond to your request.
