Who are we?

Tindra & Nupi

Tindra is no ordinary elf. She’s a curious sparkle in the snowy forest. The kind of shimmer you notice from the corner of your eye and wonder if you imagined it. She believes every snowflake carries a story, and every riddle a secret waiting to be solved.

Her home? A pinecone-shaped hut hidden between two leaning spruces, where the air smells of cloudberries, cinnamon, and a little woodsmoke. Inside, you’ll find hand-drawn maps on the walls and a hammock where her husky pup Nupi naps.

🐾 Nupi, born under a full moon, has one blue eye and one green. He’s convinced snowballs are magical (and sometimes accidentally eats the clues). Loyal, clumsy, and full of heart. He’s always by Tindra’s side.

Together, they guide little explorers through the winter wonderland of Äkäslompolo, leaving behind sparkly riddles, frosty notes, and a trail of wonder.

While Tindra and Nupi carry the magic, we are the ones who bring their adventures to life.
We live and work here in Ylläs, surrounded by the same snowy forests, reindeer crossings, and cozy cafés that your family will discover during the quest. We’re storytellers, nature lovers, and we believe Lapland is best experienced through play, imagination, and a touch of everyday magic.
This scavenger hunt is our way of sharing the joy of Ylläs with families from near and far.

I’m Anja. The human spark behind finnomenal here in Ylläs.
I live among the fells and forests of Lapland, where I create adventures that bring people closer to nature, stories, and each other. From campfire meals to Northern Lights photography, and now with Tindra’s Quest, my work is all about weaving a little everyday magic into real experiences for families.

Like Tindra, I believe snowflakes hide secrets, forests hold laughter, and small moments can turn into big memories. My joy is to share this corner of Lapland with curious explorers. Whether through a guided walk, a hot chocolate by the fire, or a scavenger hunt that lets kids become the heroes of their own story.

So if you ever catch a glimpse of a green elf hat between the spruces… it might just be Tindra. And if you hear someone humming while making pancakes by the fire — that’s probably me.
